Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 20, 2026
DLPVANSH ("we," "our," or "us") operates the website dlpvansh.com. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our DLP testing service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate our service:
- Your Name: When you first access the DLP Test Tool or Sample Data pages, we ask you to provide your name. This name is stored in your browser's local storage and in our database alongside your IP address for usage tracking purposes.
- Connection Metadata: When you visit our site, we log your IP address and timestamps for operational and security monitoring purposes.
- Test Payload Data: When you use our DLP testing tool to submit text payloads or upload files, this data is transmitted through our server for the purpose of testing your DLP policies. We do not store, retain, or log your test payload data. All payload content is processed in memory and immediately discarded after the HTTP response is sent.
- Live Visitor Count: We use WebSocket connections to display the number of active visitors. This data is transient and not stored permanently.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- Providing and maintaining the DLP testing service
- Monitoring service health and performance
- Detecting and preventing abuse of the service
- Displaying aggregate visitor statistics (live visitor count)
3. Data Retention
Test payload data (text and files submitted through the tool) is never stored on our servers. Connection metadata (IP addresses, timestamps) is retained in a rolling log of the most recent 200 entries for operational monitoring. User registration data (name, IP address, first and last visit timestamps) is stored in a persistent database. The most recent 30 user records are displayed in our admin dashboard. Daily aggregated usage statistics are retained for up to one year and automatically purged thereafter.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of DLPVANSH, our users, or the public
5. Cookies and Local Storage
DLPVANSH uses browser local storage to remember your name across visits to the DLP Test and Sample Data pages. This data remains in your browser and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. We do not use first-party cookies for tracking or user identification beyond this.
6. Advertising and Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. Google AdSense is a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. As part of this service:
